How do i get flour off a cockatiel?

I had just got done making cookie dough and my cockatiel was bathing in the sink when I dropped a bowl and startled him. He took off flying and of all the places he could have landed...he landed in my flour container! I tried to rinse off the flour, but can still tell there's some on his wings and underside and it is stiffening up...is there anything I can do? He is trying to preen and I don't know if that's a good idea? Thank you for your help.

Why won't my budgies enter their nest box?

i think they probably just dont want too right now. i dont think they are distracted by the toys, if they want to breed, their instincts will take over. besides, they need some sort of "distraction" seeing as how they are captive birds who dont have overly much to do (not that im saying that you are at fault here, but captive birds dont have to be foraging, flying etc all day so they need something to do, like play with toys). it doesnt sound to me like you are doing anything wrong :)

Should I Call Her...?

So, there is this girl I like and we seem to get along great. I'll catch her looking at me from across the room/halls, she'll ask me for help, she'll smile at me, invite me to events, mimic my gestures, cross her legs a couple times while sitting next to me, and she will preen herself when I'm around. Why hasn't my question been deleted after so many reports?

She is very bonded to me and preens my hair whenever possible and she sometimes tries to preen my shirts. I have 4 budgies that are paired up in a big cage with 2 nest boxes. They preen each other, clean each other, and the male always gives food to female. All budgies are 12 months old. Help! Complex hit and run?

I went to a job interview for a Federal agency. After I returned to my car from the interview, The entire drivers side of my car was smashed in ($5000+ in damage) and a note was left by the security guards to contact them. I contacted them and they indicated that my car was hit by an employee who drove off and there are two witnesses and that they also have video of the incident and know the identity of the employee who hit my car and drove off. Long story short I called the local police (since this parking lot technically was public property and security wasn't too interested in doing anything about this ) and the police asked the security guards (who are rental cops with no power to arrest someone) if they can see the video and speak with the witnesses. The police explained to me that they do have jurisdiction for this particular parking lot and would assist me. The security guards refused to give the names of the witnesses to police and told the police that they are viewing the video tape and will contact federal authorities to take actions against this employee and will get with the police when they get finished examining the video tape. The police told the guards they would be more than happy to look at the video tape but the security guards refused to give them the tape. Can these security guards refuse to give the police a video tape and the identities of the people who witnessed this person hit my car and drive off? The police told me that since the guards weren't cooperating, there really isn't much they can do other than issue a subpena and force them to turn over the video tape and the identities of the witnesses but it's possible the agency can successfully fight to the subpena so it really isn't worth the time. I really want this driver to face consequences for his/her actions and I'm quite sure my insurance rates will go up because this person hit me and drove off resulting in my insurance company having to pay to fix my car. The police did tell me about some Federal Paperwork I can file since this is technically Federal Property but I can't remember what these forms were. To make matters worse, the employee must be a member of the Union of this agency and knew I contacted the police because I was contacted by the Union who wanted me to drop my complaint with the local police for the hit and run arguing that this happened on Federal Property and the local police don't have jurisdiction on Federal Property even though this agency contacts the local police whenever they a law enforcement officer. Does the local police department have jurisdiction on Federal Property and if not, which Federal agency can I contact for help? Is it worth my time to contact a Federal Law enforcement agency for help? I don't like the idea that someone can hit my car and drive off then the local security guards who are not Law Enforcement officers can refuse to assist me and refuse to help the local police who were willing to investigate. What federal paperwork was this local police officer referring to that I can file a complaint regarding personal property damaged on federal property by an federal employee? Can the Union step in and protect this employee from facing any legal actions if he/she is caught? I haven't asked my insurance agent but will this hit and run accident raise my insurance rates since this employee most likely will get away with this or he/she may not even have insurance? I think you both working at the same place is making things worse. It sounds like you could use some time apart. Stay with one of your friends for a few days and see what happens. Maybe he will miss you and change. A more subtile approach would be trying to make plans both of you can agree on. Rent a movie and watch it together, or go out to dinner. Why is she giving me mixed signals?

Ok, so about two months ago I gave this girl some compositions that I put on a CD that I made for her. The next day after she listened to them she said she really liked them, and she even called me a genius. Parrot has loss of appetite, increase lethargy but no fever.?

I gave my parrot only 1 chocolate cookie 2 weeks ago. He had diarrhea for 1 day. But the following day he seems to recover. His droppings has solid substance in it. Every thing looks normal again. But his behavior seems change. He is less talkative and less active. but he still has good appetite. still play and talk. But as days go on we noted he is less active, less talkative and likes to sleep but still have good appetite. So we thought it is depression. His appetite gradually decreases in the following days and so does the lethargy .droppings looks normal. Instead of squaking and preening when i got near him, he emitted like a whining sound. We went to a vet examined the stool and there is no parasite nor there was any fever noted. have anyone encounted this kind of symtoms. Is this related to the chocolate or not? or is it infection.

I just got a three month old green cheek conure on Saturday. He came from a breeder who was highly recommended to me by some bird friends. He is my first bird. He is very sweet. I eat a lot but I'm still anorexic?

I'm 14 I eat like a pig I often eat two servings of food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I eat sevral high-calororie snacks every day.(but I do eat a lot of fruits and veggies) I eat candy and soda almost every day(only diet soda though, I don't want to hurt my teeth and bones) But I'm still anorexic! I only weigh 90lbs and I'm 5' 5", I look skinny and all my friends are jealous! They all weigh more than me, except for this one girl who has the body of an ten year old. Most of them say I just have really high metabolisim, I suppose this is it, but is that bad? Will it lead to serious health problems? Diabetes run in my family, will my eating habits cause diabetes? I am pretty athletic, I jog a couple times every week and I'm really active.I don't really feel like going to a doctor because I'm healthy otherwise and I feel great! I always have lots of energy! I also get extreamly cranky and depressed when I'm hungry. If I skip meals for a whole day I freak out around 4:00 or 5:00, to the point where I burst out in tears. But after I eat I apolize for being mean and I'm pretty happy.Is this bad? Do I have a health problem?

How to know if my budgies are interested in breeding?

2 of my budgies are a bonded pair. They preen each other, regurgitate,and play with each other. I got them from different places so they are definably not related. I've done a lot of research over the 2 or 3 months that it took for them to get bonded. I've added a nest box, a mineral block, they have a cuttlebone, they are on a pelleted and seed diet. And yes I know they need fruits and veggies. I also removed the grate from the bottom. I put the nesting box in yesterday and today I noticed the male looking at it. Then he started to get excited and was chirping and going in circles. Soon after that I noticed the female just peeking her head inside. Is she interested? That is all she does is poke her head inside and how long do you think it might be till she gets enough courage to go inside? Breastfeed! It works amazingly! I haven't had time to get into good exercise yet, my baby is already two months old and I'm only 14.5 lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight! I take him for walks in the stroller everyday but that's all I've done! So it's been mostly the breastfeeding and a healthy diet that is responsible for my weight loss.

Conure does constant wing flapping when perched on my shoulder?

I got a Green Cheek Conure a month or so ago, he is constantly out of his cage and usually with me. Wings are clipped from the previous owners. Lately whenever he is perched on my shoulder, after he is done "preening" my hair he does this constant fast wing flapping off and on for about 10-15 minutes while chirping. How to get my young adult dog to stop biting?

I have an Australian Cattle dog that I adopted last month. She is six months old, and is frequently nipping at us. She is also jumping on everyone. My parakeet just doesn't like me, what do i do?

Ok, so about two months ago I gave this girl some compositions that I put on a CD that I made for her. The next day after she listened to them she said she really liked them, and she even called me a genius. My parents are blowing up at me over something I did not do?

I got accepted into this college with a high school program deal, so I'm off to college two years early. However, the classes, as we all know, don't come cheap on there own. So, they gave us some paperwork that will allow us to bypass paying so longs as I remain in the high school portion as well. Well, that paperwork went missing. My mother has a stack of garbage, paperwork, and some candy rappers filling up every drawer in about 5 desks. I was not trusted with the paperwork, since things always go missing (yet they seem to end up in her stack of garbage, yet it is still somehow my fault). I also can't drive to have delivered it, so they said they would. Yet, since they see me as being a Devil's spawn because I'm a member of the gothic subculture, and thus, I am wrong, they are God. Since it is missing, that means it MUST have been me, and, regardless of everything in my room being as neat as is physically possible, there are no if, ands, or buts about it. Now, they are threatening everything of mine, even to the point of disowning me. What can I do to fix this?

Found lots of cockatiel feathers this morning. Any help!?

I came down this morning and found 35 feathers on the floor. not the little fluffy one but big flight feathers. We have 2 cockatiels and we see them have little spats with each other, but nothing serious. Their wings and tails look really short,and on the feathers that fell out there is blood on the end, and some have been ripped. They are both fine now, preening each other in fact, but not 'pulling out feather' drastic. Any help?

Problem w/ local theater, some insight?

I'm going to apologize right now for the length of this one. Okay, so the story goes my brother wqas crazy shy, but he found this little tiny theater program that put on plays in this 10 by 10 foot theater, and my brother found his love for drama in it, along with his confidance. A few more people join the theater, along with some parents, it gets a little bigger and they move to aan old movie theater, where they keep on putting on productions, the parents run the concessions and the place starts making a hundred bucks or so on every show they put on, the community is good with it.It is a volenteer program, and some realy great kids join, like my bother to find their confidance, and do. Then a pair of really creepy adults Join. The theater was started by Chuck and megan, who are very nice, but have no creep-o-meter what so ever. Creepy guy # one takes over tech stuff, and brings with him a bunch of creepy 15 year old kids who do tech as well, it starts to change the feel of the theater a little, but not bad since they were behind the scenes, problem being if you were to volenteer to do tech now, you had to pass creepy guy's assesment of you, and you haad no choice but to work with his set of obnoxious creeples. Now creepy guy # 2 shows up. He is a rich old dude, and he starts taking over concessions, what were chips and candy are now candy bar and wine. A kid is charged twice as much for a candy bar as an adult girl is. His little set of sluts starts hanging out smoking in front of the theater, getting rid of the family feel of the theater completly. Creepy guy # 2 starts calling it his theater, and now almost all of the good kids that were in the program have now dropped out because of the 2 creepy guys. Now, creepy guy #1 drops away from the theater because Chuck and megan get mad at him, taking with him the house crew, all the lights that the theater owned, and rocky. This was the first move in the right direction for the theater. Now, here is where my brother offers to run the theater for the next year, do the bills and such for them, and I offer to take over tech for them. I know this seems like we were offering to replace creeepy guy one, but our intentions are simply to help the theater, and we are not aiming for a monoply over the theater like they are. When my bro and I told chuck and megan that we would like to step in, they said yes, certainly. And we told them, along w/ several members of the community, that creepy guy needed to go, along with his alcohol and smoking sluts, and they said that they didn't think it would be that big a deal if creepy guy # 2 stayed. Now, my brother graduates highschool, and having planned on working at the theater for a year, he has nothing to do, and is somewhat up a creek with out a paddle because he had always planned on doing this. The theater is falling apart and becoming an eyesore because chuck and megan won't work on it, an dall the while I have been watching from the sidelines, and now I'm wondering what I Should do. How did i lose weight!? help please?

NJ Silver PBA Card and Kyleigh's Law?

I am 17 years old and I have just gotten my NJ Probationary License last week. I am a very honest person that does well in school and is very responsible. I have very good manners and the last thing I want to do is to get in trouble. However, when I am with my friends, I really wish that I could take all of them in the car with me (3 or 4) instead of just 1. I do not drink, speed, do drugs, or anything that would get me in trouble with officials. I have managed to obtain a silver PBA card from one of my friend's dad who is an officer. He knows that I am responsible and that I would not abuse the card in any way. The only thing I don't know is this: If i get pulled over with more than 1 friend in the car (3 for example), and if I greet the officer and cooperate with him very well, will he still give me a ticket or punish me in any way? Parakeet won't go in the nesting box?

The female is a year and a couple of months and the male is about 1 year old. They are a bonded pair. They regurgitate, preen each other, eat together,ect. I also have another budgie in a separate cage so they hear other birds chirping too. I added the nest box and it has been on the outside of the cage for a couple of days. The only thing I noticed is that once in a while she puts her head inside the hole and looks inside. But it is becoming less now. They still regurgitate and preen all the time, and they are actually regurgitating more. They also chew on the mineral block and cuttlebone a lot. Sometimes the male will do a courting dance with the female. The females cere was just white but now i am noticing it is turning kinda brownish. It is a light brown now. Next year I'm going to be living in Germany as a part of the Congress Bundestag Youth Exchange program. Parakeet is laying eggs help?

I have 2 male and 2 female parakeets. The female that is laying the eggs really likes the yellow male parakeet. All they do is feed eachother and preen and 3 days ago I found a egg in her nest box then 2 days later she had another. I never seen them mate but like I said they are always with eachother having all the signs of a budgie that wanted to mate. What would be the chances of the eggs being fertile even though I never saw them mate? I also heard since she has 2 eggs now and is probably going to have a clutch that it means its more then likely going to be fertile eggs?
