sounds to me like you're being a little overprotective. she's 18, she probably knows how to shower and what to wear. her actions are most likely a statement that she dosent want your advice on every small aspect of life. give her some slack every now and then, see how she responds. you might be surprised to find she is actually capable of living alone.
